Frequently Asked Questions

Does the app really detect hidden objects?

Kashf Lens uses your iPhone's real magnetometer sensor to detect magnetic field anomalies caused by metallic objects. The vibro-acoustic mode uses the microphone to analyze sound patterns when you tap on walls. Results depend on wall material and object composition.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. Kashf Lens works 100% offline. All processing happens on your device. No data is ever sent to any server.

Which iPhones are supported?

Kashf Lens requires an iPhone with a magnetometer sensor (iPhone 3GS and later). For best results, we recommend iPhone 12 or later.

How do I use the vibro-acoustic mode?

Hold your iPhone near the wall surface with the microphone facing the wall. Tap gently on the wall with your other hand. The app will analyze the sound frequencies to identify hollow zones and cavities.

What does the threat level mean?

The threat level indicates how many anomalies were detected and their severity. A high threat level means significant magnetic or structural anomalies were found. This does not necessarily indicate danger - it could be normal building materials like rebar or pipes.

How accurate is the detection?

Results depend on your device hardware, wall material, and environmental conditions. Kashf Lens is an exploratory sensor tool that uses your iPhone's built-in sensors. For best results, use iPhone 12 or later in a quiet environment.
